Mail Boxes Etc. Epsom - ID required for mailbox rental services
Please note that we cannot release mail to you until we have successfully verified the identity for the mailbox holder (the ‘Customer’), all additional mail recipients, authorised mail collectors and forwarding names/addresses (where different).
If your mailbox is for an 'entity' including a registered company/partnership or charity, we may require additional identification where Legal Person(s) exercising control of the entity differs from those included above. In such cases, we will contact you confirming the additional requirements.
You will be sent an ID verification link (for each person we need to verify) by email from noreply@hooyu.com and by text message from MBE. Please complete this process to enable us to carry out our Customer Due Diligence obligations.
In some cases, additional ID may be requested after the initial checks. Electronic Anti Money Laundering (AML) checks may also be carried out.
Copies of ID will be kept on file in compliance with our privacy notice and
policy and will only be disclosed if requested by the police, HMRC, Trading
Standards or other appropriate legal authority.
You must not use or quote your mailbox address for any purpose until such time as we have issued your mailbox number and no mail will be released to you until we have received and approved your ID. If you are unable to complete the HooYu process, please contact compliance@mbe.uk with your mailbox agreement number to review your case.
