Six ways to stand out from the crowd
At your next business event
The conference season is upon us, and if you’re exhibiting you’ll be looking at how to eclipse the competition and attract visitors to your stand. Here are six ways to grab people’s attention before, during and after the event.
Reach out to people before you attend the event. Let people know you’re going to the event – post about it on social media, and email your existing customers to say you hope to see them at the show.
Make the most of social media. Use LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to alert your followers to the event and get them to sign up to hear your updates.
Entice visitors to your stand with a competition. You can announce this by e-shot and social media before the event and encourage people to visit your stand in order to enter. Make the question(s) about your business so that people have to find out a bit about you. This is a great way to capture contact details (but make sure you’re GDPR-compliant).
Make a lasting impression. Don’t forget to have business cards and flyers to hand, and be sure to give them out, as well as having a few readily available for people to pick up if you’re busy with someone else.
Draw attention to yourself. Your stand should be colourful, bold and eye-catching – this is no time to be shy. Our one-piece exhibition stands are ideal. Easy to transport and set up, with three main panels and two end panels that curve around the sides, they command attention and look totally professional. The graphics – which are priced separately and can be reordered at any time – come with pre-fixed magnets for easy mounting. Printed on five pieces of 200gm gloss art paper which is matt laminated, we’ll also be delighted to help you design them.
Follow up. Be sure to follow up after the event by posting on social media to say how much you enjoyed it and talk about all the great new connections you made. Then reach out to everyone you met, to keep the conversation going.
